Stuck in Our Own Tower

Rapunzel has been stuck in her tower ever since Mother Gothel brought                    her there when she was a baby. Now that Rapunzel is turning 18, she                          is longing to leave her tower and is waiting for her life to begin. She

is also waiting to fulfill her dream of seeing the floating lights, in which                    she has a strange feeling are meant for her. She has limited experience                        with the outside world, but she knows that there is more out there for her                                                                                 to experience. Rapunzel tells us                                                                                     about her longing for her life                                                                                         to begin, and her dreams, in the                                                                                     songs "When Will My Life Begin"                                                                                 and "I've Got a Dream." The only                                                                                 problem is she does not know if her                                                                               dreams will ever play out the way                                                                                 she wants, or if they will even play                                                                               out at all. She's worried that if she                                                                                 doesn't leave her tower her dreams won't come true. "Many people don't discover their purpose in life because they never put themselves in circumstances where God might show Himself. You don't find your purpose by hiding in the shadows, waiting for life to come to you." Sometimes Christians feel the exact same way as Rapunzel because they often wonder when God is going to show us what he has planned for our lives. God's plan can be defined as "a long, grand and complicated plan, better than any drama or literature or drama we know." We wonder what our purpose is here on Earth and if we have any significance at all. We often get frustrated when we feel like our prayers are not getting answered and we wonder if change is really possible in life and if God really has a plan for us, just like how Rapunzel wonders                    if she will ever get to leave her tower to see the floating lights. "We                       all have dreams that we wonder if God will help us to succeed and                         we wonder if these dreams are in the plan God has for us." We                              feel trapped, just like how Rapunzel feels trapped in her tower.                            But, Rapunzel teaches us the lesson that all we have to do is keep                   trusting God with our life and he will provide. We have to remember                    that "God's blessing will come to [us], filling [our hearts] with peace                    and joy, and making [our lives] brand new." Rapunzel had to keep trusting             in the lanterns to fill her life with peace and joy, and the lanterns brought her to her parents, which changed her life forever. If we keep trusting in God, our lives will change and become brand new as well. We need to remember that he has a plan for everyone and he will not lead us astray. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

For I know the plans I have       for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
